Dear Students, Families, Staff, and Friends of St. Paul’s Lutheran School,

Welcome!  On behalf of the faculty and staff, I invite you to peruse the St. Paul’s Lutheran School’s website. Whether you are a parent a former parent or student,  one of our current students, or you are a looking for a Christian school in West St. Louis County, in Missouri, I hope you find a great deal of information via our school website.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church & School has been in existence now for 161 years. Our school is supported by St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. St. Paul’s holds current National (National Lutheran School Accreditation) and State (Missouri Non-Public School) accreditation.  St. Paul’s also holds membership in a local network of Lutheran Schools (Lutheran Elementary Schools Association.

The school provides opportunities for students in kindergarten through grade eight; however, other children’s ministries can provide Christian earning and care for younger children (MOPS and VBS) as well through our Early Childhood Center (ECC) and Parent’s Day Out Program (PDO). The K-8 school portion of our ministries is located on two campuses that each has a dedicated, talented, and experienced faculty.

The school theme for our current 2010-2011 academic year comes from the Old Testament book of Isaiah 64:8 "Yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.” The paraphrased theme this year is: MADE BY THE POTTER.  We will utilize this theme throughout our classrooms, devotional time, and chapel services.  We know we were gifted with an incredibly gracious relationship with our Father that helps us understand that we are God’s creation (made by the potter), being molded (clay) for a purpose that HE deems appropriate. As we study, learn, grow and play together, God’s Holy Scripture is the basis for our curriculum, decisions, and relationships.  Our God-given faith, cultivated by His Holy Word, empowers us to live our lives as examples to others.

St. Paul’s Lutheran School works with an on-going vision statement: Developing Caring Servant Leaders. This vision ties into our process and planning each year. Every individual, regardless of age, needs to continue to grow, especially in our Christian faith walk and character development, as we prepare to be leaders who live in service to God and others. Every Christian, servant-leader can build Christ’s church with his or her gifts in their "discipleship” walk.  We plan to daily encourage our students, give them ample opportunities to show responsibility, and train and test them in their strength and courage while preparing them to be bold, Christian witness in faith, service, activities, and studies, all while reminding them that our directions come from His Word.

We ask that students, parents, and staff alike keep the mission, theme, and vision clear as we walk, talk, grow, develop, live, love, laugh, and serve together. We look forward to serving your family this year and we pray for successful growth of our students as we prepare to assist them in their spiritual, emotional, physical, and academic journey.  Let’s have a fantastic school year as we are MOLDED by our Father, the Ultimate Potter.

If you have any further questions about our school, need additional information about the programs or curriculum, or wish to visit, please contact us via this website or by calling (314) 822-2771.

In His Grip,

Mrs. Janet Profilet
