Our history is the history of God keeping His promises to His people. God has been faithful to the people of St. Paul's as He has come to them through His Word, through Holy Baptism and through the Lord's Supper.
Our history began in a log cabin church at the site of the current cemetery in 1849 and has continued until this day, when St. Paul's is a large congregation with two campuses, one on each side of that first church site. Throughout its history, this church has reached out and ministered to the West County community and far beyond - even to many foreign countries - with the Gospel. This church has been a city of light set on a hill at Manchester and Ballas Roads.
The mission of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church of Des Peres, Missouri is to share Christ's empowering love in dynamic ministry to all people.
